Step 1: Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the Quick Access Toolbar.
Step 2: Select the command you want to add from the drop-down menu. To choose from more commands, select More Commands.
Step 3: Under Choose commands from, select Commands Not in the Ribbon. As an example, select Form and click Add.
💡 Note
By default, Excel customizes the Quick Access Toolbar for all documents. Under Customize Quick Access Toolbar, select the current saved workbook to only customize the Quick Access Toolbar for this workbook.
Step 4: Click OK. Also, to remove a command from the Quick Access Toolbar, right click the command and click Remove from Quick Access Toolbar.
How to manage your worksheets in Excel
As we mentioned, workbooks can contain multiple sheets. You can manage those sheets with the sheet tabs near the bottom of the screen. Click a tab to open that particular worksheet.
To add a new worksheet, click the + (plus) button at the end of the list of sheets.
You can also reorder the sheets in your workbook by dragging them to a new location. And if you right-click a worksheet tab, you will get a number of options:
For now, don’t worry too much about these options. Rename and Delete are useful. Rename allows you to rename your worksheet whereas Delete will delete your worksheet.
Microsoft Excel worksheet views
Excel has a variety of viewing options that change how your workbook is displayed. These views can be useful for various tasks, especially if you are planning to print the spreadsheet.
To change worksheet views, locate the commands in the bottom-right corner of the Excel window and select Normal view, Page Layout view, or Page Break view.
Normal view is the default view for all worksheets in Excel. Here is how it looks:
In the case of Page Layout view it displays how your worksheets will appear when printed. You can also add headers and footers in this view.
Finally, Page Break view allows you to change the location of page breaks, which is especially helpful when printing a lot of data from Excel.
Microsoft Excel backstage view
Excel Backstage view gives you various options for saving, opening a file, printing, and sharing your workbooks.
You can access Backstage view by clicking on File tab on the Ribbon and here is how it looks:
Description of each options are as follows:
Arrow button: You can use the arrow to close Backstage view and return to Excel.
New: This option allows you to create a new blank workbook or choose from a large selection of templates.
