Sometime while I watch camera recorded video on my Samsung phone, I often think does there any way where I can see my captured video on my windows PC without transferring it. I went to Google for find its solution but I did not get any good result for Samsung phone and its devices. Most of the article describe about stock version of Android cast to Windows PC. I thought it would be nice to write an article which will help my reader who are using Samsung phone and wants to cast video, images or game to Windows PC.
Here I will write down easy step by step guide. You can follow accordingly.
Step 1: Open your Windows settings by ⊞ (windows) + I -> System -> Projecting to this PC
Step 2: Select “Available Everywhere” or “Available everywhere on secure networks” from the top pull down menu.
Step 3: Select “First time only” or “Every time” under Ask to project to this PC. I would recommend picking “first time only,” unless you are really worried about your security.
You can leave as it is for “Require PIN for pairing” option off since you have to grant permission anyway. You can also decide whether you want your PC to receive projection requests only when it’s plugged in.
Step 4: If you are accessing internet via wifi then disconnect it from your mobile phone as well as from your computer. On your Samsung phone select “smart view” from pull down menu.
Step 5: Once you will click on smart view then a pop up window will appear where you can see your computer name. In my case SUNIL-PC. Once you will select your PC from option then it will start to connect your PC from your Phone.
Step 6: Now my Samsung phone is directly casting to PC.
Note: There are few sharing options available from Smart view app which you can see from below image which are Pause sharing, Change device, Disconnect.
Pause Sharing : If you want to pause your casting then you can use this option from your smart view app.
Change device: If you want to change your device like from one PC to other PC then you can use this option.
Disconnect: If you have completed your casting from Mobile Phone to PC then you can disconnect.
